Tanks insulation
The tanks were insulated with rock wool in ferrules and the cover, Spintex 342-G-145 [19] from Isover. Fixation and protecting was done through aluminum jackets except in places where otherwise specified. The thickness of the insulation was 250 mm. Between the hot mesh and the bottom of the tanks, Superwool™ 607 ™ [20] Blanket from Thermal Ceramics was place. Fixation was donewith galvanized coating fromPegaso.
The salts piping and most of the HTF piping were insulated with 100 mm of rock wool Spintex 342-G-145 from Isover with external aluminium protection. The HTF pipes close to the recirculation pump were insulated with only 50 mm thickness rock wool. The control elements and the instrumentation were not insulated. Places where otherwise specified.
