Water/steam	Economical and convenient,eliminating intermediate heat transfer.	High system pressure( above 10MPa),poor steam heat transfer performance
Thermal oil	Good flow performance, low freezing point, good heat transfer performance.	High-cost, long service life, low operation temperature，easy to leak and fire，pollution，high pressure
liquid metal	Good flow performance and heat transfer performance, high operation temperature and wide temperature range.	High –cost, strong corrosion, easy to leak, even fire and explode, poor safety performance.
Warm air	Economical and convenient, driving air motor directly, operation temperature reaching over 1000 ℃。	Poor heat transfer performance, small heat capacity, heat dissipation causing temperature decline, and difficult to maintain high temperature.
Molten salt	Good heat transfer performance, low saturation steam pressure, large heat capacity, long service life, low-cost, safe and reliable system.	Easy to freeze and block up pipes, and some molten salt have corrosion for pipes.
