Suction Bell and Bowls

The suction bell shall be a heavy wall one-piece casting designed with an optimum shape to reduce inlet losses to a minimum. A vortex breaker basket shall be installed at the end of suction bell.

Impeller wear rings shall be installed both at impeller and at casing, if allowed by pump design. The differential hardness between the casing wear rings and the impeller ones shall be based on material conditions and applicable hydraulic design.
