The tracing system of the molten salt pump

    In the tracing system, if the control temperature sensor of the tracing line is not correctly installed, the salts in the pipe can easily freeze, blocking the system.
    For the piping, special attention needs to be taken to the material selection, especially for valves gaskets and other connections
    From an operational point of view, the stability with which the plant operates has enabled full tuning thereof, which in turn allowed automatic operation of the system. The different operating modes of the facility, whose main configurations focus on the charge, discharge, stand-by and drainage mode, were automated and optimized during the test period. Special attention was paid to fine-tuning the intermediate steps of said modes due to operational criticality of the same. The plant has been operating automatically for more than 4 years and, consequently, taking the implemented control system as a reference, the operation manuals to be used as a reference in commercial plants have been drawn up and optimized.
