The molten salt pump test stand

    The salt pump test stand  will be utilized to provide design evaluation and endurance testing in molten salt at essentially isothermal test conditions of a prototype primary fuel salt pump for the  Warwickpump  and to prooftest the primary and secondary salt pumps  for  the Engineering Test Unit  and the  Warwickpump.  The salt circulating system will be designed to contain the maximum pump discharge pressure of  400  psig at 1300°F and for short periods of time  at  1400°F. The salt flow can be varied from  3000  to  7000  gpm.
