Thermal energy storages of the molten salt system

    Thermal energy storages systems are able to increase the thermal energy system efficiency and they are useful to correct the mismatch between supplyand demand. Thermal energy storage can be carried out by three different methods: as sensible heat, as latent heat, or as thermochemical energy storage. Usually, sensible heat is used for short term storage and latent heat and thermochemical for long term storage.
    Sensible heat stores energy rising the temperature of a storage medium, usually a liquid or a solid medium.
